Treasurer Report

• Balance still solid.
• Money out for teacher breakfast, book fair supplies, money to each grade level, SPED, ELL.

Book Fair and Special Visitor Lunches—Next Week!

• Setup will be Monday Sept. 28 in the morning. Fair will start that afternoon and will run through the end of conferences. Teachers are encouraged to preview the fair before their conferences start.
• Special Visitor Lunches: Tues Sept. 29 and Wed Sept. 30. Parents are invited to join their student for lunch, and then head to the book fair. Notices will be sent out in Tuesday folders.
• Still need more volunteers!
• Volunteers especially needed on Monday from 3-8 pm (1 person), each lunch shift (2-3 people) and clean-up shift.
• Wil put notice in Panther Express asking for help, as well as asking teachers to reach out to parents via Class Dojo, etc.
• Volunteering does not commit you to PTO for the rest of the year!
• Will put reminders about Book Fair and Special Visitor Lunch in this week’s Panther Express/Tuesday folder.
• PTO will work on signage on how to get to Book Fair if it’s held in the Kiva.

Teacher Dinner—Monday night during conferences

• Several quotes from local restaurants were provided to PTO to provide dinner for teachers the night of conferences. Feel free to reach out if you’re interested in these quotes.
• PTO went with lasagna, salad, and garlic bread from Papa’s Grill.
• Some teachers have dietary restrictions. PTO will work on providing them with something they can eat.

Fall Fundraiser

• PTO chose a “throwback” logo that was drawn years ago by our own Mr. Magner! This logo will be put on items that PTO will sell to raise funds.
• Items to sell include beanies, socks, hoodies, t-shirts, tumblers, and crew-neck sweatshirts.
• Prices will be in the $20 (beanies, socks, t-shirts), $25 (tumbler), and $50 (hoodie) range. Some prices still TBD.
• We would love to post a video to social media of Mr. Magner being interviewed (possibly by students) about this logo as part of a fundraiser preview.
• We will push the dates of this fundraiser back. We will have a two-week window after Fall Break for orders to be placed. The goal is to have items distributed to families before Christmas break.
• Tentative dates: collect funds 10/27-11/11.

Admin Business

• Construction following the demolition of the old building is finishing up.
• “Stop wall” will receive another coat of paint and will be covered with stucco.
• New equipment will go out soon: soccer goals, tetherballs, bike racks.
• Lew lines will be painted over break.
• Asphalt replacement quote came in very high. GMES is looking into alternatives that will be more affordable.
